The Journey Of An Indian Artist

From a very young age, I have always been deeply passionate about art. Drawing and sketching were not just hobbies for me they were a way of expressing myself. I spent most of my free time creating paintings, with a dream of one day becoming a well-known artist.

My journey truly began after my 10th board exams, during the COVID-19 lockdown. With schools and colleges shut for months, I suddenly had an abundance of time. I immersed myself even more in art, creating paintings consistently and sharing my work through videos on YouTube. That period marked the beginning of my artistic journey.

As I explored new platforms, I started creating short-form content on TikTok. However, when TikTok was banned in India, I adapted quickly and launched my Instagram page, BoyThatCreates. I began posting my artwork there, gradually building an audience.

Soon after, I introduced personalized portrait photo frames alongside my paintings and started selling them online. Initially, I received orders from friends and family, followed by customers through Instagram. With the earnings I saved—combined with a little support from my parents—I made my first major investment: purchasing an iPad Air 5. This marked my transition into digital art.

I began creating digital portraits and fan art of popular creators and influencers. To my surprise and excitement, several well-known personalities such as Ashish Chanchlani, Harsh Beniwal, Fukra Insaan, and Prajakta Kohli noticed and shared my work on their social media stories. Their appreciation brought me recognition and helped my audience grow significantly, leading to a steady increase in orders.

Building on this momentum, I launched mini portrait fan art frames of cricketers, an innovative concept at the time. The product quickly gained traction, especially during India’s World Cup victory, when cricket content was trending across social media. My videos went viral, reaching millions of views, and the demand for these frames grew rapidly as people began purchasing them as unique gifts.

A year later, as the Hot Wheels trend resurfaced in India, it reconnected me with another childhood passion—cars. Being a car enthusiast, I saw an opportunity to combine my love for automobiles with my artistic skills. This led to the creation of my signature product: the 3D Car Frame, a unique concept designed to resonate with car lovers while inspiring them to chase their dreams.

The response was overwhelming. My work began gaining global recognition, and my Instagram presence expanded internationally. My creations have since been showcased in various car showrooms, including an invitation from the Ferrari outlet in Mumbai to display a custom frame based on a Ferrari model.

Today, I am proud to be pursuing my passion as a full-time artist while simultaneously completing my MBA (Master’s degree) online. What started as a childhood hobby, with zero investment but strong belief and determination, has grown into a thriving creative journey.

This is not just my story, it is a reminder that with passion, consistency, and faith in your dreams, anything is possible.
